Calligraphy workshops in the North East


If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.

Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, Elvet & Bailey in Durham City and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Weekly classes are also held on Thursday and Friday mornings at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.

Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

Copperplate Calligraphy Workshop (FULL)

Learn the art of writing beautiful copperplate calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. Copperplate is also a great grounding for those who wish to explore more modern calligraphy styles.
 
The cost of the workshop is £35 per person, which includes a calligraphy kit to take home and refreshments.
 
A non-refundable £10 deposit is required to secure your place, either in person at From Loft to Loved or via PayPal to info@creative-calligraphy.co.uk. Please state your name, telephone number and the workshop date and location.
