Calligraphy workshops in the North East
If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.
Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, Elvet & Bailey in Durham City and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Weekly classes are also held on Thursday and Friday mornings at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.
Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

£25I’m returning to one of my favourite venues for another introduction to calligraphy – often defined as ‘the art of beautiful writing’. In this workshop you will be shown how to use a calligraphy pen to form a simple calligraphy alphabet, with materials and worksheets provided so you can continue to practice at home.
